With both of her parents being prominent Russian artists, LANA ANTONOVA was naturally drawn to the spotlight. Childhood training for the ballet from Russian master Tatiana Tarasova whet Lana’s appetite for performance, and she became a fine dancer and supremely talented figure skater by the age of 15, while simultaneously training as a Classical Pianist and Vocalist at the Saratov Music Conservatory. Still, Lana longed to expand her talents, but opportunities in Russia were somewhat limited. Her chance came at the age of 16, when her family relocated to Australia. She quickly landed her first job in television on the hit show, Neighbours.
Lana soon moved to Los Angeles, where her beauty and facility with numerous languages proved a potent combination. Almost immediately, she was cast alongside Steven Seagal in Fire Down Below. Other films rapidly followed: Austin Powers, Mad City, The Hitman’s Code, The Thief, Eulogy with Ray Romano, Night Watch directed by Timur Bekmambetov and the television movie Jane Doe: Eye of the Beholder directed by and co-starring Lea Thompson. On television, she has appeared in Heat, NBC’s Law & Order, Arthur Hailey’s Detective and Medical Investigation. Most recent projects include The House of Sun, directed by Garik Sukachyov, the independent film Eavesdrop, directed by Matthew Miele; and Utomlennye solntse , Russian WWII saga, directed by Nikita Mikhalkov.
